When booking a flight, you may question if you could have gotten a better deal if you booked later—especially if you're buying tickets for your entire family. Southwest Airlines does not charge a change fee, despite the fact that most American airlines do. Southwest Airlines flight change policy is extremely accommodating. Wanna Get Away tickets, as the cheapest rates provided by Southwest, have harsher cancellation policies than Anytime and Business Select fares. If you want to change your flight on Southwest, the same regulations apply—you can change your flight up to 10 minutes before departure without being charged a fee. Without incurring a change fee, the value of your ticket will be changed into Travel Funds that you can spend within one year of the date of purchase of your ticket.
